Recurring donations

Hi there, I'm Bob, one of the co-founders of Bridgit. In this short video I'll share how Bridgit supports recurring donations when integrating data between Raisely and Raiser's Edge NXT.

To begin with, I'm going to navigate to our test Raisely campaign, select donate, and create a monthly recurring gift of £15. I'll fill in some test details and leave the rest of the form blank, then enter some test card details and a test UK postcode.

While that's processing I'm going to come to my Bridgit portal, select the bridge for the Raisely general appeal to our NXT sandbox, and run it. Now that that's triggered we'll pause the video and return in about a minute once it's completed.

So we're back, and the bridge run has completed. If I navigate to our NXT sandbox I can see the first of the two gifts the bridge run created. This record is the recurring gift payment, the monetary value associated with the first instalment of the recurring gift. It has all the attributes you would expect to see on a gift record integrated via Bridgit, which I talk about in another video.

It also has a related transaction, which is the second gift we've created through this bridge. That gift is the recurring gift itself and reflects the details of the recurring gift commitment. It has details of the first payment, the frequency, the next payment and the gift's history.

It has a status of active and a strong identifier, which allows us to link this gift to all future payments and to any changes to the gift status in Raisely. If the supporter pauses or cancels their recurring gift within Raisely, that will automatically be reflected on this record on the next bridge run.

That is how Bridgit supports recurring gifts when integrating between Raisely and Raiser's Edge NXT. Thank you for watching.
