Hi there, I'm Bob, one of the co-founders of Bridgit. In this short video I'll share how Bridgit provides visibility of transaction fees when integrating data between Raisely and Raiser's Edge NXT.

To begin, I'm going to navigate to our test Raisely campaign, select sign up and fundraise as an individual, and enter some test details. This is a ticketed event, so I'm going to select a ticket, skip these fields and create a single donation of £30. I'm going to enter my test Stripe details and click complete registration.

Just a quick note to say that the ticket cost £8, we've made a £30 donation, and there's a £3.27 contribution to fundraising costs.

With that complete, I'm going to navigate to our Bridgit portal, select the bridge that runs data from our Raisely general appeal to our NXT sandbox, and click Run Bridge. With that triggered I'll pause the video and we'll return in about a minute once that's completed.

So we're back, and the bridge run has completed. If I navigate to our NXT sandbox I can see the results of the gift that's been transferred. We can see the total gift value matches what we had in Raisely, £41.27. However, using the gift split functionality available within Bridgit, we successfully separated the donation, the ticket and the fees.

This allows us to recognise the net value received for the donation and for the ticket against specific campaigns, funds, appeals and packages. The fee value represents the amount paid either in platform fees or through payment processing fees, and will not be received by the charity into their bank account.

This gives the charity greater visibility of the total amount donated, the amount to be received into the bank account, and any amounts paid for tickets, which may require slightly different accounting practices.

That is how Bridgit supports gift splits when integrating data between Raisely and Raiser's Edge NXT. Thanks for watching.
